"GREEN ART"

The first day of school is quickly approaching us! I would like to start gathering materials for an art project that involves all grade levels. Through art they can start their path to relating, understanding, and sculpting the world around them. What is this "Green Art"? Well art can be anything that you want it to be!! I love to create art with forgotten junk. We all have so many things that we throw away daily that could be used and recycled to create. A pop can, empty tooth paste, or a shoe that has lost its match could all become a piece of artwork!! Here are a few examples of Green Art that my students created during my student teaching:

Students and Family: Start collecting and helping your student(s) for their creation. Some objects you might want to collect are empty containers, burnt out light bulbs, broken watch parts, fake flowers, ribbon, broken toys, etc. Anything that you can think of! Make sure your objects are the size of your shoe or smaller. We will be collecting junk materials through out the school year. Once we gain a good junk collection at the end of the school year each grade level will learn what creations they are going to make!!

RECYCLE and CREATE!!!!
